The Crew Checks out the Holiday Season in Branson and Silver Dollar City

As part of our Do The Ozarks series, the Crew headed to Branson to checkout the places you might want to check out for the holidays.  It is only an hour and 45 minute drive from Rogers, Arkansas.  We also wanted to see what the holiday celebration was like at Silver Dollar City.  


We stayed at the Promenade at Branson Landing during our trip.  You can click here to find out more about the hotel.  We were invited up by the Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau (www.explorebranson.com) to have a holiday adventure!

We started with the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center.  We had a chance to speak with the main actress who plays Maxine in Hallmark's "Maxine's Christmas Carol.  Click link below to check it out!




Our second stop on our holiday tour in Branson was Silver Dollar City! The Crew went on a food adventure through the park.





We had a chance to speak with Master Potter Jeff Walker while we were checking out Silver Dollar City in Branson.






 The Arkansas CW Crew ran into Cameron Hansen at Silver Dollar City who spoke to us about what the holiday cruise is like on the Showboat Branson Belle. 





Even during the holidays the crew found out the rides continue for all ages!





A new addition this year to Silver Dollar City in Branson is Christmas in Midtown.  The Crew had a chance to check out!




We had a chance to stop in at Brown's Candy Factory in Silver Dollar City.  




We stopped into the Blown Glass Factory to watch master craftsmen Shawn Watt make a glass snowman.






The Crew had a chance to cook up a recipe at the Silver Dollar City's Midwest Living Culinary and Craft School taught by Master Craftsman of Culinary Arts, Debbie Dance Uhrig.





While on our trip to Branson we had a chance to experience their holiday shows. We pulled up at the Christmas on the Trail Chuckwagon Dinner Show. 





The Crew had a chance to do the holiday VIP tour at the Promised Land Zoo in Branson.

Crew checks out the Haunted Basin Park Hotel in Eureka Springs

As part of the Do The Ozarks Halloween Series we stop by the Basin Park Hotel in Eureka Springs to check what haunts could be found.  Not only did we find a treasure trove of history, we found some ghost with a new app!

The Crew Check Out the Haunted Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs

We checked out what is going on this summer at Silver Dollar City in Branson

Silver Dollar City is located in Branson, Missouri and is a major theme park for the whole family. Not only are there over 30 rides and amusement park attractions but there is 40 shows a day. They have preserved the 1880's Ozark Culture with over 100 craftsmen demonstrating everything form glass blowing to candy making. Check out interviews below from Silver Dollar City.

The Crew visits the Museum of Native American History


We had a chance to check out the Museum of Native American History in Bentonville, Arkansas.  It is Free to the Public and Handicap accessible. The Museum is located at 202 SW O Street in Bentonville.
The museum is divided into to five different time periods that will guide you through the changing lives of the Native American, seen through their artifacts.  There are relics that date back as far as 14,000 years.  



Dustin spoke with the Museum of Native American History Director Charlotte Buchanan-Yale.  Check out what she had to tell us about the museum!










From June 2nd through the 4th, 2017, The museum will be hosting a Native American Cultural Symposium.  They will have writers, performers, storytelling and outdoor film series. Guest will include Bobby Bridger, John Inmon, Joseph Marshall III, Jr. Mathews, Gayle Ross, Sam Scinta and Fulcrum Publishing.  There will also be a Native American Fashion Show. Virtual Game World and Euro Bistro -Rogers, AR



We found a really fun place to visit if you are looking so virtual entertainment or some authentic German food! Dustin had a chance to talk to owner Juergen Lottmann about the event center.  

This is a few things we found out while we were  checking out the Virtual Game World and event center that has a Euro Bistro right here in Rogers, Arkansas!  They are located across from the Dixieland Mall in the Town Square Shopping Center.    


They carry some of the most advanced simulation systems in the world. It is a Virtual Simulation Arcade. They have one of the largest golf simulators in the United States. Plus, formula racing, hunting and archery simulators.  They also have over 95 different virtual adventures for the most advanced HD virtual gaming chair.   


They have a Euro Bistro that is a part of the entertainment center.  It serves authentic German food and is connected to the gaming center.  This allows the Virtual Gaming World to be able to do Birthday parties, corporate parties, team building events and later this month they will start to have live music during evening.   We had a great time while we were there and the food was awesome!  You can find out what all they have available and Check what Dustin found out below in a four part interview.
